    Hi out there,

    I have some posts I want to migrate to a portfolio post type. With the first two posts it worked, the next two posts disappeared. The counter of the portfolio raised to four entries, but visible are only two.

    Categories are not transferred. What can I do?

    I use Astra Pro theme / beaverbuilder / WPML

    Hey Chris!

    The count being off is weird. Most likely it’s related to caching, but hard to know for sure.

    The relationship between categories and tags remains, but because your portfolio post type doesn’t support categories, the UI isn’t made visible. (This is a common point of confusion that I will probably need to address, either with documentation or with code somehow.)

    The only way to make the UI appear is to make the portfolio post type share categories with the post post type. It’s doable, but probably not really what you want to do.

    (If you switch your post back to being a “post” type, you’ll see the categories are still there, so the data is still OK.)
