Post Draft disappears

  • Hello.

    I have had an issue today where I am working on a new post, I save it as a draft periodically, then when I come back to work on it some more it is no longer there. I mean I can still see the draft when I go to “Posts” but it is just empty. I scroll down to “Post Revisions” and I can see my several revisions, but the two most recent are just blank so I have lost a few hours of work.

    Has anyone ever had this problem, and if so do you know why it happens or how to resolve it?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    I’m have the exact same issue. If I start an entire new post, I can get it to save/schedule/post whatever.

    Also, I cannot delete any drafts.

    I haven’t deactivated all my plugins but that’s a nightmare… I’ll try that. I have tried switching themes.

    Okay, I have tried deactivating ALL plugins and still I cannot delete any drafts, nor have a change saved to a previous draft.

    I’m clueless…

    (BTW, I was able to get my work back on a draft, by going back in my browser. What I ended up doing was copying and pasting the html in a new post and could schedule/publish it that way).

    I have been copying and pasting the HTML of my drafts into a word doc and saving OFTEN. Otherwise, still having the issue.
