Post Edit in Classic Editor

    In Safari on a Mac (Catalina, latest release versions), when creating or editing a post using the classic editor, in the Shortcode Generator or setting Geotag, clicking on the map (after selecting other options) has no effect, no markers are positions, not shortcode generated. In the case of “Set Geotag”, clicking ont he map does not place a marker and the “Save” button puts up the “Place geotag in the map before save” error.

    But it works fine in Firefox on the same machine so and works fine in Safari on another machine. No plug-ins or ad blockers so I’m lost as to what might be going on. But clicking on the map for anything (Map&Marker, Set Geotag, etc.) has no effect and does nothing.

    Hello @psamathe

    setting the marker is done with Javascript events which is handled on the client site – means in your browser. It could be some issue with settings in the browser – maybe even security settings. Maybe there is a way to export the Safari settings of both machines and compare it.

    If you find it, it would be great to share it here with others.

    I probably wont have a chance as the machine is being overwritten today! I’ve been through the Safari settings (in the preferences dialog) and can’t see anything. The machine is to be overwritten with a machine on which it works which will clone the settings so it should recover (and will be an indication of the problem if it doesn’t).

    This is interesting, I’m experiencing the same issue:

    shortcode is not generated in “Karte & Marker” while it is generated in other tabs like “Geotag speichern”. Tried in several browsers. Disables plugins in WordPress and Browser – no success.

    post in details your step and environment.

    1.) When you are at “Karte & Marker” what do you click and what happens in the tab?
    2.) When you are at “Getotag speichern” what do you click and what happens in the tab?

    Post every single click and reaction of the plugin.
