    Today I installed the plugin and it works pretty well, but there is one thing that could be improved: it would be great if there was an option to use the excerpt of the post, instead of the post text.

    Hi,

    Post excerpt is also included in caption. And you can also control words by setting word count from plugins settings.

    But if you mean only excerpt, we will also make it possible.

    Yes, that is, the interesting thing would be for people to look for the complete post in the blog, and the excerpt (or the meta description of SEO; we paste the meta description to the excerpt, so it’s the same thing in our case) is a post summary. The bad is that the links aren’t clickable, but the excerpt helps more to visit the post, than a certain number of words from the beginning of the article, or the entire article (which would no longer need visit the post).

    OK. We will make it possible. But you can control it right now with words. Currently the plugin will post excerpt and description both. You can reduce the words to show only excerpt until next version.

    Hello, any update about this?
    Usually, my articles are long and I publish an extract that summarizes the main points. This is what I would like to see shared on Instagram. If the first words of the article are published, they are often not relevant.
