“Post Excerpt” Doesn’t Work Category Pages

Hi!
While my main posts page shows excerpts only (switched to “Post Excerpt” in Post Options in Customizer), within the categories, it shows the full posts still. How can I make it so that the excerpt is shown in the categories as well?
