Post excerpts

Hi, I am trying to set up the home page featured posts and posts to display the excerpt as in the bloger theme demo at https://demo.accesspressthemes.com/bloger/.

My home page and all my posts are showing the text from the post content even though I have added text to the post excerpt on the post.

How do I get the home page posts and the archive pages to display the post excerpt like the demo?
