Post Format makes no difference?

  • Love the theme, but I tried making posts using the various formats (Standard, Aside, Image, Video, Quote, Link) and they seem to make no difference in how the post is displayed.

    Is that the way it’s supposed to be? If so, is there another purpose beyond visual presentation for using these formats?

    It doesn’t look like Argent is set up to style the different post formats differently – but they’re in place so that if you’d like, you could style them yourself.

    You could do that either by adding CSS that targets the CSS class corresponding to that format – or by adding a template for it into a child theme ??

    On some themes, the post formats are included for specific functionality, and on others, they’re more there for flexibility ??
