@tmm63 Great – I’m glad you found a plugin to accomplish your goal.
As an alternative to a custom post type, it’s also possible with Site Editing to create a custom template which you could apply to specific posts or pages.

This would let you design your own Notes template in the Site Editor, for example. You’d then select it from the Templates drop-down menu when adding a Notes post, and your template would be applied to that specific post.
