• I just set up a blog at easyishard.com, but when I post, the formatting (line breaks, bulleted lists, etc) is removed.

I need help figuring out a solution to this problem.

    Thanks.

  • Usually, this problem happens when you are copy-pasting from Word or a similar program directly into the edit screen.
Just above the edit screen, there is a button to paste from Word. If you click on that button and paste in the screen that opens up, your formatting won’t be stripped.

    Hope it helps ??

Actually, I’m just typing my post directly into the built-in text editor.

Also, I don’t see the Paste from Word button you mentioned.

Dhikra, I found the button you mentioned (you have to toggle the “Kitchen Sink” button first).

Unfortunately, that didn’t work either and my post’s formatting was still stripped.

Is the formatting still there in your post on the editor?

Can you link us to a post on your site where the formatting is removed?

Ok, on the top right of the editing screen, there are two tabs, Visual and HTML.
Are you sure you are clicking on Visual before typing your posts?

Because if you type them on the HTML tab, your formatting will be stripped as well.
Also, on the Visual tab, you should have the button I mentioned.

    Dhikra,

I’ve tried using the WYSIWYG editor, as well as formatting it with HTML tags in the HTML editor. Both look fine when I preview, but both strip formatting when I actually publish the post.
