Post Importing Issue

I am exporting content from one WordPress blog and importing it into a another one using the Export/Import feauture. The export seems to go okay and the file seems to be in working order. When importing it to the other blog the import process seems like it works fine. The import runs without any issues, then you select your users etc. Then it gives the message it has been successful. The issue is after it is all done when you click to go out of the import page it says the database needs to update. It won’t let you do anything but click to update. So after clicking to update it reverts it all back and the posts that were supposedly imported are not there along with any other changes I have made to the theme.

I switched to the 2011 Theme to see if it did anything different but every time I get the all imported well message and then it forces a database update.

I am not sure why it is wanting to update or how to get this to stop from happening. Any input would be extremely appreciated.
