Post Introduction

you should have a “more” button in your post editor
basically just insert
<!--more-->
where you want it to say “Read More” and it does

I put the <!–more–> code in the text but it hasn’t done anything when I look at it on my homepage.

Do you know what’s wrong?

look in your theme’s index.php for
<?php the_content ?>

does it look like this?
<?php the_content(__('Read more'));?>

I don’t seem to have a <?php the_content in my index.php file.

What else should I try?
