    Hello!

First of all thanks for the great plugin, it is exactly what I need. But I am having some issues to make the Post Meta Video Widget render in the sidebar area.

I made sure that the widget is unchecked in the settings, and in the post screen I can correctly see the “Video Preview in fixed width and height” so the custom field works, but even after I publish it and with the widget on the sidebar the widget wont render. Not even the title can be seen, its like is not there.
I already tried to disable all other plugins and still wont work.

There is something I am doing wrong? Maybe it needs a minimum amount of videos to render? Maybe the issue is in the theme? Is called “TheSource”

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

Did you drag the widget to the sidebar? Find it in WordPress admin > Appearance > Widgets

The setting is in the post editor but the widget needs to be dragged to the sidebar. You will also need to enter video width and video height as well as the correct video ID. If the video ID is incorrect, the video will not show up.

And in most themes, they have many sidebars, you need to know which sidebar is included in that page template or post. You will need to ask the theme author if you are not sure.

If you have a cache plugin, you will need to clear the cache, deactivating the plugin will not help.

The above are the possible issues I can think of.

Please let me know if it helps.

    Thanks!

Hmm, I have tried the plugin in a different site and it works, so I am guessing is a theme-plugins issue.

Also, I was unaware that the Post Meta Video Widget only works in post/pages and wont appear in the index. Why is that? It can be changed so it will appear everywere?

    Thanks for the quick reply!

    Hi,

Yes, it does not work on homepage, and works only in post or page.

Sorry, this is a free plugin, I will only do bug fixes.

You should be able to hire a developer to make the custom modifications for you.

    Thanks!
    Denzel
