Post Moderation on Comments Not Working

  • I have my ‘discussion’ options setup as shown below, however when I go in to test this, the comments/reply to a post or story is not held for moderation before being visible. The comment or reply is instantly shown. I want the comments being posted to not be shown until I review or moderate them. The comments do show up in the queue to moderate or review as intended but they are not hidden until that point.

    Any help would be appreciated. ??

    Before a comment appears:
    [x]An administrator must approve the comment (regardless of any matches below)

    Post the comment in one browser, then check it in another. Or, post the comment, then clear your browser’s cookies and cache and check it again.

    A new function in WordPress v1.5 allowed the commentator to see his or her comment with a “Your comment is awaiting moderation” tag. The original commentator is the only one who would see the comment. Your theme may be missing a tag to display the “awaiting moderation” notice.
