Post n?o limit not working in categorie pages

  • Hi, Maybe someone can help me. (i’ve been looking and searching but did not find it, my wp is in spanish and may be i got the wrong keywords)

    I’m triying to implement a WP as a tradicional coporate site. Because of this I need the limit of posts on any page to be just ONE. I’ve set the option ‘max entries per pages to 1’ but it keeps showing more than one.

    For example: https://www.tomatoma.ws/wordpress/?cat=4

    ??Can anyone tell me how can I limit posts shown to just 1?

  • When you are viewing a category, it will show all the posts within that category by default. That is the purpose. Why would you want to click on a category and only see one post?

    The Admin > Options panel allows you to control the number of posts on the front page, but that doesn’t influence the category pages.

    I’m sure there is a way, but it would involve writing a conditional PHP code to change the default behavior of the categories.
