• Site uses Astra theme and Elementor and your plugin custom post order.

What we want is to display the hall of fame members in date order. We were careful to enter posts in reverse order (newest inductee was entered first, back to the first inductee who was entered last) — This gives us the display in elementor Profile widget from 1961 through 1983.
    So far so good,
But we also wanted to create a profile widget that would display in alphabetical order by last name (not by title) – and that’s where your plugin came in. We dragged them into order and our ABC page has the grid of photos in ABC order. So far so good. AND — it meant that the “recent posts” display in the sidebar ALSO takes on our drag and drop order. Cool. Home page has grid in date order, and sidebar links in ABC order.
    Great!
But if I click on a profile, the post navigation links at the bottom of that single post go through the alphabet backwards. In other words if I click on Flippo, the “next” button takes me to “Clossin” while “previous” takes me to “Gilmore” —

Any way to tweak the next / previous post navigation to do the opposite?

    Thanks!

I have modified a file in the Astra theme so “next” now goes to next in ABC and “previous” to previous in ABC.

The display is still a bit wonky with Next link in lower left and Previous in lower right!

    Working on it.

I don’t think one should have to re-code template files when using your plugin — You might consider how this next/ previous functionality will work with your arbitrary drag and drop post order. I can imagine if order is arbitrary but not common, that next / previous wouldn’t matter, but when used for alphabetical arbitrary sort, maybe you could provide a “switch” to handle this for folks.

I’m in contact with my theme developer to see about a functions.php snippet to 1. make the links do what I want and 2. reverse the position on the page.

Hello @barback -> We understand the problem you have, but at the moment the plugin is made to order the posts on all the pages on the site in a certain order, not only for certain portions of the site. We will open a feature request ticket with such a proposal. Thank you for understanding !

    Warmly,
    Marian
