• Long story short, I have an old site, and I recently switched to WordPress. I want to post some of the archives of my old site in an archives topic, however I *don’t* want them to show up on the front page of my WP blog. Is this possible? I just want them to be listed in the topic only.

  • Can you be a little more specific please? What do you mean about archives topic? You want ALL of your old site archives, in just ONE blog post? Is that right? Or..?

I was thinking maybe something in this post might help, but I’m not sure sigh..

    Hi spencer,

Sorry I should’ve been more clearer. Looked through that thread but I don’t think it’s what I’m looking for.

Okay, lets say I currently have Category 1, Category 2, and Category 3. Whenever I post an article and designate it to a specific category, it will appear on the front page, and also in that category.

Now, I want to create category 4. For category 4, it will still be linkable in the sidebar. *However*, any articles that I post in category 4 will not show up on the front page. The only way to see them is to actually click “Category 4”, and then they will show up.

Hope that makes more sense ??

yes just download the category visibility plugin if i think what you mean..

    there’s a really easy way…

just add inside the loop som php code, here it’s how to do that.
