For the whole of February, none of my post notification emails have been sent to subscribers. There is a ‘resume’ button on the MailPoet plugin page for emails but nothing happens when I click on it. I reached out to support a couple of weeks ago and I was told there was an issue that they were working on and it had been resolved. But the mails are still stuck and the support team has confirmed that my email settings are correct. I can see that others are facing this issue too and it would be great to have an update.

Apparently support is now available over email only on a premium subscription. I have got responses over email just about two weeks ago so I’m not sure when this was changed. Either way, it looks like many people are facing sending issues with MailPoet and it would be really good to know when this is going to be resolved. I’ve had to disable my subscription forms for the time being because not a single subscriber is actually getting any emails.

    Hello there @the-muffin-top

Thank you for reaching out to us.

It looks like you’re having issues sending your post-notification emails. I can confirm we currently haven’t received other support tickets regarding sending issues. The sending issue we had previously has long been resolved.

Please contact us via https://www.mailpoet.com/support/sales-pre-sales-questions/ and include a link to this thread.

Kindly also send us the following:

    • A screenshot of the MailPoet > Help > System Status page. Please ensure to capture the whole page or make several screenshots.
    • Copy and paste the information from MailPoet > Help > System Info.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi, I’m trying to contact you via the link you’ve mentioned, but I don’t see an option to send the screenshots. Is there some other way to do this?

Also, there do seem to be more people in the support forum with sending issues, similar to mine or the same where mails are just stuck. I had got email support for this in February (request 7556275) where I’d sent in the same screenshots you’ve requested and there was no error. I was then told that there was an ongoing issue with the plugin, not with the set up of my branded email address, and I’m copying that part of the mail here:

    “Feb 5, 2024, 09:03 UTC

    Hello there,

Thank you for getting back to us and providing the information that we needed.

Everything appears to be properly configured on your end and sending errors should not ordinarily occur.

The issue at hand may be tied to a problem we’re currently addressing. We foresee deploying a corrective update this week, specifically addressing sending speed and this might be related to what you’re experiencing.

We’ve uncovered a difficulty with certain database versions, particularly MySQL version 8.”

In the meantime, I was asked to go back to an older version of the plugin which didn’t solve the sending issues either. I then got this update.

    “Feb 7, 2024, 06:40 UTC

    Hello again,

?A new version of the MailPoet Plugin (version 4.43.0) has been released with major fixes to some of the issues we had received earlier including the one you’re experiencing.

Can you kindly upgrade the MailPoet plugin and see if it helps fix the issue you’re experiencing?”

I was told after this, that it was resolved and the next time I published a new post, the notification mail would be sent without problems. That hasn’t happened. I decided it was best to disabled the subscribe form on my site till mails are actually being sent successfully.

I hope this information helps and I can also send you those screenshots as soon as I know how and where to attach them.

Please let me know if there’s any clarity here.

After yet another plugin update, post notification emails are still not sending. I also still don’t know how to send the screenshots requested in the thread above and have provided all the relevant past emails. There are many users with the same sending issues in the forum. Can I please get a response here, it’s been a week since I wrote back.

For this particular issue, we had a similar bug where post notification emails got “stuck” in sending status in previous MailPoet versions – specifically versions 4.41.x and 4.42.x
    ?
This issue is now resolved. If you are running an older version of MailPoet, please?upgrade to the most recent version immediately.
    ?
In addition?however, in order to clear your queue so that new post notifications can be sent, you will need to?move all stuck post notifications to the trash. You can do this under MailPoet > Emails on the “post notifications” tab. Click the “History” button for your post notification and for each paused or stuck email, move it to the trash.
    ?
This should clear your queue and allow new post notifications to now send. You can also double check that the queue is now clear under MailPoet > Help on the “System Status” tab.
    ?
Once the queue is clear and your plugin is upgraded, new posts should trigger the post notification. However, older posts where the post notification did not go out will not get a fresh notification email. If you wish for your readers to know about that content, you should create a one-time manual newsletter, embedding those specific posts using the Posts block, to let them know of the content they missed.
