Post Notification Sending Problem

  • I just deactivated email subscribers to do some debugging of my site and when reactivated it automatically resent emails for my last post which it shouldn’t do and can cause spamming issues with my subscribers.

    I should note that I had just updated to version 3.5.5 and had not had this problem before.

    Why did this happen and how can this be stopped from happening for any future deactivations ?

    Hello,

    We have added new functionality in ES 3.5.5 where we are creating a new list called “Test” and added admin into this group and send a post notification using last published post just to confirm ES is working fine.

    It should only send an email to administrator, not everyone. So, you don’t need to worry about that.

    Just to confirm, please check post notification which automatically created (nvhbfu-iuklhm-rptfcg-qzagxm-fcutew) goes to only you.

    Hi,

    I know it sent the test to admin for the newsletter but if you read my message above it also resent post notifications from my last post – posted a week ago – to all my subscribers too – 1560 of them!

    This is the problem…
