Post notifications triggering wrong – serious problem
-
I’m pretty sure I reported this before, but I never received a response. Now that I have seen a new side of this issue, I decided to report it again.
When I have a post scheduled to go live in the future, instead of being triggered by the actual post, MailPoet is sometimes being triggered by my editing the post. It happened several times in a row, then suddenly stopped doing so, which made me think maybe it had been fixed.
However, today I tried to edit a scheduled post a half-hour or so before it went live and the post notification went out right then, even though the post was not actually live on the website yet.
Thankfully, only one person opened the email during the interim and did not click on the post link (I put the full post in the email, so I don’t generally get clicks). But if someone had clicked the button to comment on the post, they would have gotten a 404.
This is obviously a problem that MailPoet seriously needs to address. I use a plugin called WP Scheduled Posts. Could there be a conflict between them? There never used to be.
Please, please address this. This is an increasing problem because I always schedule my posts.
