Post Number

  • In my old style I had the comments numbered in a post … you know number 1 for the first comment, number 5 for the fifth comment .. and so on. In my new style it doesn’t have that .. and I have endlessly looked through my old comments template and can’t find a function or anything that would signal the post number. Anyone know the function or code?

    and couldn’t find it.

    Look for something like this in your old comments template:

    <ol>
    <li>comment</li>
    </ol>

    That’s how most provide a numbered listing of comments. Although a bit of PHP can be used to do it, this is by far the simplest.
