Love the plugin; but have just upgraded my site to use WP 3.8.1 and BP 1.9.2 and have noticed that when I post an update on a friend’s wall, the update will appear correctly but as soon as I refresh the page it disappears.

However, the update will appear under my own activity on my wall. It just vanishes from where it should be.

I looked in the Database and the activity is still there too (as I’d expect, as it is still appearing on my wall).

Any ideas what might be causing this?

    Thanks
    G

  • I’m having the same issue as well.

I’m running WordPress 3.8.1 and BuddyPress 1.9.2. as well.

I really need this fixed because I will not get paid if I don’t have this resolved.

I’m grateful for this plugin. It’s a great idea. But you have to tend to the support forum. Please reply.

    Hi @megainfo / @meg@info

Please can you provide a reply? I appreciate that this is a free plugin, but a response in 2 weeks would be nice.

Even just to let me know that you have seen this message would be useful, so I know my question is not wallowing in a blackhole.

    Many thanks

    G

i agree, a response is needed sometime, man it was nearly a month ago i posted here and not a word back, i typed an accurate summery of problems for him that need addressing with this plugin after hours and hours of testing with different themes /installs and plugins, and he hasnt yet replied once, i mean come on man please respond, people here are paying interest in this plugin and there is no support whatsoever, i know you have been active on wordpress as i have seen you comment on other plugins etc? so why ignore us all here man? just some acknowledgement please?

the way i see it is this, why submit a plugin if no support is offered?
personally id rather not know that a plugin even existed than spend endless hours trying to get it to work without any form of support when things are broken!

i think it is an amazing plugin if it was working how it should and i take my hat off to him for making it, but once again please fill us in on whats going on with it.

    Hello ,

    Sorry for the late response,

When a member (X) write on the wall of the member (Y), the post appear temporarily on the timeline of (Y).

    ——————————————–
The timeline by default ( like Facebook system ) will contain only the activities of the displaed members.
    ——————————————–

Then, If you check the timeline of member (X), you will find a new activity post ‘X wrote on Y’s Wall’.

When member (Y) logged in and check his News feed, he will find a new activity post activity ‘X wrote on Y’s Wall’.

The Sitewide Activity contain all activities.

    Conclusion :
The timeline subnav contain only the activities of the displayed member.
The news feed contain activities of the logged member + activities of his friends + activities of his groups.

Hope this explain why the update will appear correctly but as soon as you efresh the page it disappears.

    Regards.
