Post Options Not There

  • Many of the post options are not work, for example I cannot change the publish date, visibility, and there are no options below the body area, where I would be able to edit the author if checked in screen options.

    Not sure how to fix this. Any suggestions?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    Thank you for your help, I did all of those things did not work. I even downloaded a new WordPress install file just in case the one I got yesterday was corrupted. I then uploaded with a different FTP program. Still same problem.

    This is the second WordPress installation on this account, because of that I used a different prefix when installing. I used wp2_ could this have something to do with it?
