It would really help if you could post your website URL so I can see what’s going on. But there was no change in image displaying in the most recent theme version.

You can set the image sizes to your preferred ones, though, and then use a Force Regenerate Thumbnails plugin to reset the old images. Please read https://www.webmandesign.eu/manual/auberge/
