Post & Pages Publishing only when resetting time to 1 month earlier – why?

  • Hi Community,

    got an issue with my wordpress. Setting is “Publish immediately” and everytime I try to publish a post or page by clicking Publish button nothing will be published.

    As soon as I change the publishing date one moth or so prior, then it’ll be published immediately.

    What setting causes this problem? I’d like my costumer not editing the publishing date and time. Instead I want them to use the Publish button only. That’s it. They shouldn’t work with this prior-date-setting work around.

    Any ideas?

  • So your saying that when you press publish, it does not actually publish the page or post?

    That’s correct!

    A Post or Page will only be published when I reset the date to one month prior…

    What theme are you using? Do you have a link to your site? Does it behave like this when you use the default theme? What about with all plugins disabled. First thing to do is try and identify the culprit whether that be a theme or a plugin.

    I use “The Agency” theme of themeforest.

    To specify the problem: This theme has a Projects section in the left menu of the WordPress’ backend. And the problem with time shift seems to be only in this Projects.

    Just tried it with regular posts and pages it works perfectly.

    So I can narrow the search down to this Projects.

    Is there a special code in some of the PHPs which I should change? Are there special time code snippets or attributes which I could edit?

    Ahhh…..themeforest. LOL

    So have you checked with the author? Are you using the latest version? Since it is a premium theme, you may have trouble getting support for that here. The code is unique and without people being able to go through it, we have no idea what to tell you to focus on or change.

    Sorry, but you’re using a premium/paid theme. It’s best to go to the support site where you bought the theme – themeforest.com – for help with customizations and issues. These forums are for themes available in the WordPress theme directory at www.ads-software.com/extend/themes/.

    And the problem with time shift seems to be only in this Projects.

    That’s the key; talk to the theme dev.
