• I’ve just published a new post, and it published it with the original draft date of 1st May, rather than todays date of 11th May. Not a huge problem, as I could quickly edit it to change the date to todays.

But I just wondered if this a problem that occurs now and again. Is there something wrong somewhere in the database, that I might have done, or is it just a WordPress bug?

  • The date is automatically set to the date that the post is first saved, not when it is actually published. You’ll want to check this whenever you publish a post that was previously a draft.

Well, that’s strange, because up to now, it hasn’t worked like that. Whenever I publish, it usually automatically changes the draft date to the date I’ve published on.

i am also having this problem, but on one of my sub-sites rather than on my main site. my main blog does not have this problem.

is there some sort of an option that i’m not aware of to make it publish immediately?
