• Hi

Many thanks for supporting taxonomy terms in 1.9 version, very useful (e.g. assigning latitude and longitude coordinations to a place taxonomy).

But “Post Relationship” (parent/child post types box disappeared after updating the plugin from 1.8.11 to 1.9.
I used this functionality to assign quotes to books, and books to writers (i.e. authors ==> books ==> quotes).

    Best Regards
    Abolfazl Ahani.

Post Relationship Table should not have disappeared on the Update.

It can be that the relationship has been dropped during the update.
Please check your Types > Post Types > your_post_type > Edit screen in the relationship section, if the Post Types are still connected.
    https://wp-types.com/documentation/user-guides/creating-post-type-relationships/

    Does that help?

    Hi Beda

Unfortunately, after updating the plugin all relationships are lost in:
a- the edit post type page ==> …/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpcf-edit-type&wpcf-post-type=writer
    screenshot 1
    I also checked “Screen options”
    screenshot 2
    b- adding a post type instance ==>…/wp-admin/post-new.php?post_type=writer
    screenshot 3

    I also tested other situations:
    1. I installed version 1.9 in another site (fresh install, not update), parent-child relationship works perfectly.
    2. I un-installed the updated types plugin, deleted it, and installed 1.9, parent-child relationship did not work.
    2. I un-installed the updated types, plugin, deleted it, and installed 1.8.11, parent-child relationship worked (but in 1.8.11 terms meta is not supported).

    Regards
    Abolfazl

    Thank you

did you fix this ? I have this same issue.

I was working as usual and then after looking through the types edit post type page my post relation ship box has dissapeared on both the post page and the types edit post type page

I have not yet received any data from @abolfazl Ahani or at least, it was not assigned to me.

The issue is irreproducible until now, at least locally.

This is why I requested a Access or Site’s snapshot to replicate this and fix it.

What I noticed today, is a issue as you can read it here:
    https://wp-types.com/forums/topic/cannot-save-selected-child-field-in-many-to-many-relationship/

Perhaps that is the issue you experience.

This is to solve by choosing the settings that user mentions (all fields)

Please let me know if this saves your issue, or, if not, please can you add a support thread where I can request access and site’s snapshots as I asked above?

    Thank you very much
