Post Selection taxonomy filter shows posts no longer in term

I am using the Post Selection block in my email. I love that it allows me to filter the posts by multiple taxonomies/terms! However, I found that the filter is showing posts that used to be a member of a term, but are no longer. For instance, I have cloned some posts and then changed the term on the post to reflect, in this case, the new client name as the new term. When I filter the posts by client name, all the 4 posts show up for client-1 (2 are for client-1 and they were cloned for client-2 and updated to remove the term client-1 and add the term client-2), and 2 posts show up for client-2. The post terms are set properly and I tried re-saving the post to see if that made a difference. Even though the post is no longer a member of the client-1 term, it’s still showing up in the Post Selection block when filtering the posts for client-1. Can you help?
