Hi, I am new to wordpress, and for the first time I am trying to make a site to get acquainted to this CMS. I used the beautifull EVOLVE theme and made all kinds of changes, also some in the css-files te discover its possebillities in my own chaotic way.
I discovered that I could set the slider options to “post options” to display title, image and some text at the homepage, in a rotating slider, two days ago. But when I tried to use this options some time later, it does not seem to work anymore.
I have checked all related options of the evolve thme, I think… what could be the cause?

Hi there,

First we want you to make us sure that you are using latest updated version of evolve because there is less chances of bugs occurring and second most of the issues can be resolved just by using latest version hopefully can get you your options back.

Thanks! I just updated the theme to the latest version… It seems that all options are restored, some changes I made in the design, I have yet to implement. Helas, no postslider on the homepage to be seen…

Hi there,

If you wish to enable post slider on your home page first you have to activate that by going to the customizer of the theme.

Appearance > Theme Options > Posts Slider > Post Slider placement > Home Page Only

Thanks for your answer, but unfortunately, these were my settings exactly. Just to be certain, here’s a screenshot:

Hi I have a similar problem, so I don’t want to open new topic about it. My problem is number of words in post slider. I have had used child theme and before updating Evolve theme to the latest version it looked beautiful, but now, I have a problem. Before I have had only 3 lines of texts and no problem. Now, the text is going over the “more” button and it looks ugly. I can’t find what to change. https://prntscr.com/79mz51
