    I receive the following email from post smtp plugin:

    You getting this message because an error detected while delivered your email.
    For the domain: https://anonymoi-yperfagoi.org.gr
    The log to paste when you open a support issue:
    This function no longer exists. See UPGRADING.md for more information

    Meanwhile i receive normal mails as well…

    I’m using 7.0.33

    The plugin worked fine in the past. This started to appear last week.

    Hi @panos0000,

    That is strange. Did you install any new plugins around when you started seeing this error message? Does everything work as normal – just this single error message when you try and generate a diagnostic log?

    No, I haven’t installed nothing lately. The plugin is still working though. I receive mails normally. But I receive and these error mails too (not all the time).
    Since it’s working I can leave it as it is.

    Any advise?

    Hi Panos,

    Sorry, I have just spotted that PHP 7.0.33 is actually now end of life, so you should upgrade if you can. Support was ended on 10 Jan 2019. Please see PHP’s Supported Versions.

    PHP 7.4 would be ideal, but PHP 7.3 will work for now. I would not recommend using PHP 8 at this time as there is a few compatibility issues with this plugin, others and even the WordPress core. See more about PHP 8 and WordPress here.

    Please let us know if upgrading to PHP 7.3/7.4 solves your issue.

    Hello! same problem here, i have php 7.4
    test email works fine, gravity forms emails works well too, the problems appears in updraftplus emails in my case

    We have exactly the same issue with @despazzito

    We get the error: “This function no longer exists. See UPGRADING.md for more information” from automatic updraftplus emails…

    We use, php 7.4

    Can you please tell which php extensions does this plugin use?

    I am not too sure what extensions Post SMTP uses. I can ask @yehudah, but he is incredibly busy at the moment!

    Quite a few bugs have been fixed in 2.0.20, so please do update and let us know.
