My gravity form has an email input field. My notification uses that email input field as the “From Email” in notifications. However, emails are instead being sent from our default address under settings>messages in Post SMTP, even though we have “Prevent?plugins?and?themes?from changing this” unchecked. Gravity Forms support confirmed they are passing the email to Post SMTP correctly.

Any idea how to fix this?

I just came here to ask about this exact thing. I have a GF contact form and just noticed that the “From Name” is my email address. I also checked the settings and have the same ones *unchecked* — I had assumed that it would then allow GF to use the “From Name” I had set up in the email notification settings.

I use Gmail (technically Google Workspace) as a service provider in Post SMTP
