    Hi,

I’ve been using POST SMTP for a couple weeks now and it’s been amazing piece of software. However, yesterday it just stopped sending emails. I’m using ovh pro email server. I didn’t belive it’s beacause of the plugin, so I contacted hosting and email provider. They said everyting is fine od server side. I checked it with quick nodemailer test and it’s true, servers are working fine. I’ve read that SEO plugins are causing issue? I don’t know. Please help. Thanks in advance. Here’s diagnostic log:

  • Hi @mmotlaw,

I hope you are doing well.

Have you test it by changing the port to 465 or 25? Can you please test that and let us know. Waiting for your response.

    Thanks and Regards,

Hi, thanks for the reply. Ovh email pro only supports port 587. I tested it with different different email service from ovh, which works on port 465, connection also was refused

    Hello,

I just received a notification that the same error occured on a different website. The second site also uses ovh pro email and hosting, but the plugins installed are different. This time error “PostmanSendTestEmailAjaxController” also appears in the logs. Here’s diagnostics screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/2AYs4h1 . Soon every website I manage will collapse if this error persists. To me it looks like the wordpress engine or some plugin is blocking 587 port for some unknown reason. Any help appreciated. I can now confirm that this issue is not caused by email provider. Especially for this purpose I bought another domain and email at different hosting provider – home.pl . POSTMan gives the same connection refused error, while nodemailer test works fine. Please help.

Update – on the first site I have turned off every single plugin except for POSTMan – still the same – connection time out. Screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/IDR9oNI . I’m running out of ideas. Here’s debug log:

    Hello,

Thanks for your reply. It turns out that it was a server cluster malfunction at ovh end. It took them 26 hours to fix… here’s link to their status page: https://web-cloud.status-ovhcloud.com/incidents/l120b27ql8zj . Anyway, it’s resolved and it’s not your plugin’s fault – it still works amazing. Keep it on, cheers from Poland.
