    Hey y’all,

I have a pretty huge problem: My recent post spans across the whole front page and I don’t know what to do.

Also, the website takes forever to load, I have no idea how this happened. I alreayd installed a cache-plugin, but it wouldn’t get better.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Hello ??

Here’s what I see when I visit the site now: https://pics.competethemes.com/0e3t3x2x1v0o

Have you fixed the display issue with the recent post, or am I seeing something different?

There are quite a few large images being loaded on the site that are contributing to the load time. I think the easiest way to improve the speed the most will be to run the images through a compression tool like TinyPNG, or a plugin like ShortPixel. That will greatly reduce the weight of the page and help it load faster.

Thanks for the quick reply ??

No, you’re right. It must have been my browser which had isssues displaying this particular post. Sorry for the hassle!

However,I installed the TinyPNG, compressed the images and it still takes forever for the website to load. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?

On top of that, a lot of the pictures appear pretty blurry when on mobile view. Do you know how to solve that problem?

Oh, and is there any way to deactivate endless scrolling?

    Best wishes!

Hmm the site loads pretty fast when I visit on a computer. Here are the results of a test with Pingdom: https://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/ey622p/https://layerednonsense.com/

However, it is much slower for me too when visiting on mobile. Apex doesn’t make any changes on mobile that would lead to slowing down the site, so I think this may be the result of a plugin on the site. Try deactivating all plugins and reloading the site on your mobile device to see if this improves the load times. Then you can reactivate them one-by-one until you find the source of the issue.

Deactivating your plugins in this way won’t have any impact on their settings.
