Post status seems to be ignored

I can get the plugin to show a list of posts from the category I pick, but no matter how I put in the post status parameter I only get the published posts in the list. I’ve tried:

[catlist name=test post_status=any] (Which I think is the correct way?)
[catlist name=test post_status=”any”]
[catlist name=test post status=any]
[catlist name=test post status=”any”]

What am I missing?
