• I created this post yesterday and shared it via my social media. Several unconnected people have informed me that they can only see the heading, not the content. For example, it looks like this:

    Picture1.png

When it should look like this:

    Picture2.png

I have attempted to identify the issue but I cannot. Can you help?

What is the nature of the post content? Is it coming from your WP DB? Or is it embedded content from another source like Twitter or Pinterest? I see a Pinterest request returning a 400 error. It may or may not be related to your content, but whatever its purpose, it’s a bad request.

If the content is an embed from Twitter (I resist calling it X), the Twitter CEO has arbitrarily changed their embed policy. In some cases, embeds are no longer possible AFAIK. You may see your own embeds, but others cannot.

Thanks for your feedback. I created the post content via wordpress.com with text copied from MS Word. I did not embed content from elsewhere. I have not linked to Pinterest.
I have since worked out that the content appears to display as intended on a PC / laptop but not on a mobile.

Apparently the social requests I see are just tracking requests and are unrelated to the issue at hand. I’m not seeing any of your post content on any device. You may be seeing it on your PC because you are logged in to your own site. If you log out and clear your browser cache, then view the page, do you still see content?

The only “content” (in HTML div class entry-content) I see are the share buttons and related posts elements that appear to be injected into content by a couple of your plugins. It could be one of them is faulty and is losing your content in the process of injecting their content.

As a test to rule out plugin and theme influence, log back in, switch to a default Twenty* theme and deactivate all plugins. I assume you did not see your content when you were logged out earlier. Do so again. If I’m right, you will now see your content. Identify the problem module by restoring your normal theme and plugins, one at a time, testing after each. You can then take up the issue through the dedicated support channel of the responsible module. Or find an alternative that does something similar.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. It took me a while to figure out that the problem was that when publishing, I had inadvertently set it as visible to ‘subscribers only’ not to everyone. I didn’t even know I could do that! I will watch out for that in future.
