Post title links in feed linking to comments instead of post

  • We are displaying a feed on our WordPress site using Syndicate Press version 1.0.26. Everything was working fine until recently. The feed displays perfectly on the site, but when you click on one of the links to view the full post, the link goes to the comments page of the post instead of displaying the post itself.

    I’m not sure what has changed. The feed is coming from our blog at https://greenthumbtheatre.blogspot.com, and nothing has changed there.

    Our site where the feed is showing up: https://www.greenthumb.bc.ca/ (under “What’s New” in lower right corner). The feed URL in syndicate press is “greenthumb|https://greenthumbtheatre.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default”

    Any ideas on what has happened (and how to fix it!) would be appreciated!

    Hi kerry66,
    in examining your feed, it looks like it is providing 5 link-back urls as part of each article’s data-structure in the following order.

    link rel=’replies’
    link rel=’replies’
    link rel=’edit’
    link rel=’self’
    link rel=’alternate’

    SP is expecting only 1 link-back URL for the article and is pulling the 1st URL, which happens to be the comments default URL that you see.

    We will be modifying SP to support multiple link-back URLs like your feed supplies.

    In the meantime, you might log into your feed server to see if you can remove the comments (replies) URLs and the edit URLs.
