Post to Group Stopped Working

    Every time I try and post to my group on facebook I get the error

    Graph returned an error: (#200) If posting to a group, requires app being installed in the group, and \ either publish_to_groups permission with user token, or both pages_read_engagement \ and pages_manage_posts permission with page token; If posting to a page, \ requires both pages_read_engagement and pages_manage_posts as an admin with \ sufficient administrative permission

    I have checked the group settings and the required app is not installed in the group (I know it was a few weeks ago). It not listed when I search to add it as ‘SchedulePress’ or ‘wp schedule posts’. Can anyone help with this?

    Hi @rabb1981,

    Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

    Yes, we had a group app, that was removed by Facebook due to not using in a proper way (as that app was used by our customers). And currently, we don’t have a group app.

    For now, you need to create your own App and use that. You are getting the error as you don’t have the Group App added to your Facebook group. Please create a group app by following this doc and add all the permissions mentioned this doc. After that please retry once. Hope your issue will be solved then.

    However, our Dev team is working on Social Media integration to make it an easier way to add and share on social media. Hopefully, we will fix this gradually in our upcoming few releases.
