I’ve created a custom post type called Projects, which works like a charm. But after updating to the latest version the post type I’ve made is missing from the add/edit. When I go to the Registered types/taxes in the menu, it says I have no registered post types.
Projects do show up in the menu, and all my saved projects are saved.

When you say “after updating to the latest version”, just to be certain, you’re referring to updating to CPTUI 1.6.2 ? Or was it something else that got updated?

Beyond that, it seems that somehow your settings for CPTUI and specifically you post types are either not being detected somehow or got lost. The 1.6.2 version upgrade should not have touched the option at all, so it’s rather odd that it may have affected those.

Do you have a backup of the site, just in case? Or perhaps a staging copy that had the same settings used?

    Hi Michael.

It’s the update of CPTIU. I’m not absolutely sure, that this happened right after the update, but this is where I noticed that they were missing.
    But, yes they are lost.
I can also tell that they are missing when I try yo manage the capabilities of the user roles.

I do have a backup, but I have done a lot of changes since the backup (weekly).

My best guess is something is going on in the role/capabilities customization being done, although in terms of CPTUI itself, that’s a glaring weakness in where we have a lot of built in support. Hard for me to say exactly what all was done on your end around that topic.

That said, if you were coming from pre-1.6.0 version, I do see I have this line item from the changelog:

Added: Handling of array versions for “capability_type” field.

Closest I can think of for what may be playing a part here from our end. What value do you have in that field?
