    Hi, nice plugin!

I’ve just about got it working…although it needed a bit of trial and error! A detailed walkthrough guide would be useful at some stage.

    But two things….

    1. Why are there two ‘Post Type’ boxes at top right under ‘Save form to post’..? My CPT doesn’t show up as an option in the top box, although it’s been created and is live. So…I have had to put the name of the CPT in the next box down…which is also labelled ‘post type’ but without the pin icon. I don’t really know what I’m doing here, I’m guessing! But why doesn’t the plugin recognise my custom post type in the top box?

    2. I managed to get the form to send an entry and it has been listed in my WP admin CPT list. Good ?? But it is marked ‘Draft’. How could I make my form submission ‘Published’..?

    Thank you.

agreed, and some improvement on the admin page…when I get time to come back to it.

that’s odd, but I am glad you guessed it right and managed to bypass the problem by putting in your post type.

How did you create your CPT?

please read the FAQ, lots of other useful info listed there.

    Hi,

How did you create your CPT?

The CPT was created using the plugin ‘WCK Custom Fields & Custom Post Types Creator’ – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wck-custom-fields-and-custom-post-types-creator/

    16. How do I publish posts automatically on form submission ?

The default behaviour is to save post to ‘draft’ status. If you wish to change this, you can use the filter ‘cf7_2_post_status_{$post_type}’ and return a valid post status. See the Filters & Hooks section of this documentation for more information.

    That’s developer stuff – I’m not a developer…that’s why I use a plugin ??

Also the link to ‘valid post status’ in that FAQ section is a 403 ‘forbidden’

    regards

if you are selecting ‘New Posts’ what means you want the plugin to create a new post type for your.

If you want to map to an ‘Existing Post’ (your Caves post type is already existing) then you need to select it under ‘Existing Post’…. it ain’t rocket science!

    That’s developer stuff – I’m not a developer…that’s why I use a plugin ??

this plugin is primarily aimed at developers.
