Post update and publish error

Hi there @leslieannetd,

Hi, the plugin is causing an error with publishing and editing our post.
When the plugin is activated, we’re getting this error:

If the plugin is deactivated, we can successfully update and publish posts.

This sounds like a pretty frustrating issue to run into!

I tested this on my own site running:

1. WordPress 5.8.2
2. WooCommerce 5.9.0
3. Braintree for WooCommerce 2.6.2
4. Storefront 3.9.1

Could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

Additionally, this kind of problem could be caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.

The best way to determine this is to:

• Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
• Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
• Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

Also, we have this error: The REST API request failed due to an error.
Error: [] cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10000 milliseconds with 0 bytes received

Hi @csmcneill thank you so much for your prompt response.
We’ve actually done the following troubleshooting to resolve the post update/publish issue:

1. switched to default 2021 theme – post update/publish issue still persist
2. deactivate plugins one by one – Any of Woocommerce or Braintree activated, we cannot publish/update post, but if we disable woo or braintree post is working

We also have this error:

Thanks for sharing the site status report. I’m not seeing anything odd in the system status report that would result in the issue.

I see you mentioned deactivate plugins one by one – Any of Woocommerce or Braintree activated, we cannot publish/update post, but if we disable woo or braintree post is working

Can you please confirm that the theme was set to Twenty Twentyone when you had deactivated the plugins?

Also, can you please check WP Admin → WooCommerce → Status → Logs and see if there are any fatal error logs in there?

We’ve done a lot of troubleshooting and we’ve found out that the post update and publish issue happens when both WooCommerce One Page Checkout Version 1.9.0 | By Automattic and Braintree for WooCommerce Payment Gateway plugins are activated.

If one of the plugins is deactivated, the post update and publish works.

We believe both of these plugins are developed by Woocommerce, we will report this to the WooCommerce One Page Checkout authors too, but can you double check this on your end as well?

Thanks for the update, here. In order to better assist you, I have a few questions concerning your site:

1. Where is your site hosted?
2. What version of PHP is your host running?
3. Are you able to upload a media file in your media library?

Based on this similar forum inquiry, I believe there may be some misconfiguration of WordPress on your site, but we need to be sure before suggesting any further steps.

We’ve deactivated WooCommerce One Page Checkout for now so that the posts will work and the Braintree plugin can be used.
