Post via email doesn't work

    I have recently set up a wordpress website for my brother.
    He is gonna make a boat trip around the world and has sattelite internet from witch het can sent text emails.
    So he can update his travel blog on open sea.
    But the post via email function doesn’t work.
    I have tried an email adress from the same server the website is hosted on, one from a different server and a gmail adress.
    And this plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/postviaemail/
    But nothing posts an update.

    How can I fix this? He is leaving in about a week and a half.
