Post via email issue

Make sure your email client isn’t in HTML mode?

i am having the same problem. anybody have a resolution?

My email client isn’t in html mode and I set up the email option but it still won’t upload it to the blog.

Did not solve the problem for me using 2.2.1. The Subject line posts as the Title, but there is no message content. The commenting of Line 372 solution worked, but the period at the end of the post requires manual editing, completely defeating the purpose of blogging by email.

After commenting out line 372, it worked fine. (outside of the extra period, but I can live with that!)

Well I figured out the cron job stuff (e.g. posting every minute is as follows): (if hosting on typical cPanel web hosting service, like https://www.toneeecom
* * * * * /usr/local/bin/php -q /home/name_of_user/public_html/wp-mail.php

So it’s collecting the mail, but NOT posting the body of the emails, only the subjects. This is horrible! Which fix works?

Well it looks like the very last fix would work, but I’m a little concerned that it cannot strip the HTML out of the email. I don’t have a text-only email client. Is there an alternative?

Huh? Sure you do. All email programs allow you to write in plain text – you just change your settings to do so. I don’t know what you use for email, but it’s in there to allow you to do it.
