Post via email using postie

  • Hi,
    I went through the process of setting up a new email for posts only, adjusted the settings on the settings>write>email domain, login, password, etc. and downloaded the postie plugin for automatic updates. I then inserted the following code in the bottom of the footer.php file:
    <iframe src=”https://thehardtrade.com/wordpressinstalldir/wp-content/plugins/postie/get_mail.php?Submit=Run+Postie&#8221; name=”mailiframe” width=”0″ height=”0″ frameborder=”0″ scrolling=”no” title=””> </iframe>

    I inserted it right above <html> on the last line of the file.

    Can anyone help me on why the emails are not being posted? Did i insert the code incorrectly? Am I missing a step? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Also, i do not have the wp-cron plugin. is that an issue?

  • Hi ysadan have you been able to resolve this problem as I am thinking of using this plugin but am not too sure how to go about it, I am using WP2.5.1. Any advice?
