post wont sho

    When I create a post, the title shows but the post is missing. If I click the link to edit the post, the post shows up in the edit window with no problems. Also all the comments for the post show properly. It acts like the post body is not being called for by the page. Any help?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Thank you for the help. I tried that too. I think my database became corrupt. I found several places where more than one index key was listed and I had a bunch of “!” inside tri-angles in front of the database folders. I had not yet setup my automatic backup so I had to bite the bullet and dump everything and reload the database — that fixed it.

    Lesson learned — back up, back up, back up. I had my fingers in the styles code and a bunch of other stuff to so I am sure I did something wrong to cause the issue.

    I am back up and running — still learning — and it is not a big deal when I crash at this point. (not yet any how)
