POST – WP Blog Posts

  • Select post type you wish to syndicate.

    If I set things up as SYNDICATION POSTS it works fine.

    BUT If I say to syndicate: POST (WP Blog Post) it gives an error:

    Problem contacting server. Please check API Username and Password

    I don’t want to have to create the content 2x’s on my main website. I’d like to just syndicate the information for my general posts.

    just figured out what was wrong – I had too many posts that it was trying to grab.

    it does not work great with the “Hotel” theme from Skthemes though. Every section on there displays the link “originally posted on ….” this is even when only 1 post was brought over.

    Can’t figure out how to not get it to post on the main page.

    Not sure what you mean by “post on the main page”.

    The canonical backlink should only appear on posts which have been pulled in by the reader plugin, posts created manually via wordpress should not have the backlink.

    The backlink is added to the bottom of the post content for syndicated posts. It is not added to the post excerpt. If you are seeing the backlink on an archive page for example it is because the theme you are using is showing the full content in the archive view when it should really be showing the excerpt.
