I have a problem with only one poast tags sitemaps.

All types are good, Google can find all informations about them but the post_tag-sitemap.xml is not working properly.

The root url of the home url is missing. It only marks :

It must be mark : HOME_URL/permalinktag/the-tag/

    Hello Djsava,

Thanks for reaching out about your sitemap.

I can confirm that your post tag sitemap has relative URLs instead of absolute URLs. Are you using any custom code or plugin that enforces relative URLs anywhere on your website?

Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict, is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty.

Please test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.

If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts

    Hello,

    Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I’m using Taxopress but all plugin settings are correct because it works with other sites.

    I think it’s my theme that’s the problem since I don’t have a tag.php page. It’s Stability ThemeSquared v3.7.0.

Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin does not detect any issues.

The problem seems to come from the theme because even with the plugins deactivated, it does not work, except when tewenty theme is activated.

Do you have a solution so that I can retrieve absolute URLs? Is there a solution to create a tag.php page ? Absolute urls are present in other sitemaps.

I have 2 sites who have the same theme and it’s the same problem.

    Thanks for your help

    Hi,

If the tag sitemap is showing absolute URLs with a default WP theme and only the Yoast SEO plugin activated, and it starts showing the issue when you switch to your preferred theme, we can then verify that it’s a conflict with the theme.

We’re not sure how your theme is structured or if it’s using the same code as default WP themes, so you may need to contact your theme author or developer for further assistance with this in order to make sure the tags have absolute URL output for the tag sitemap.

We also have some documentation if you want to customize the URLs in the sitemap itself – https://yoast.com/help/how-to-customize-the-sitemap-index/
