I recently installed Woocommerce for my store, along with the Woocommerce Services plugin. I am located in Canada but intend to sell to USA and perhaps some international. I’ve chosen the setting to “sell anywhere”.

However, when testing the shop function, the checkout shows ‘postal code’ regardless of country. It won’t change to zip when USA is chosen as the country.

It also only calculates tax for Canadian orders and not USA orders. I am thinking the zip issue is the cause of this as well. Has anyone experienced this or can offer help?

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

I just checked your checkout page at https://hopfury.com/checkout/ and the post code label seems to be changing correctly. Here is what I see for UK:

    And for US: https://cld.wthms.co/tppSKJ

If this is not what you’re seeing, can you please make sure there’s no caching on the checkout page.

Regarding taxes – are you using automated taxes from WooCommerce Services, or did you set up your own tax rates? If you did, can you please send a screenshot of your Standard Tax rate settings? Here is an example:

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply – I was able to rectify. The issue stemmed from my WordPress language settings that Woocommerce was pulling from. Changing from English-CA to English-USA fixed the problem.
