Postcode lookup in cart

Is it possible to have the postcode lookup in the cart page then of the parameters to the checkout page.
At the moment my customers have to enter their address on the cart page which doesn’t have the postcode lookup enabled 9to enable a postage quote… Then they have to re-enter when they move to the payment page this time using post code lookup
