Postie not able to process emails with images anymore

    Hi,

    Postie stopped publishing emails on July 10 2024 ; the emails typically contain 14 images weighting 67ko each, with a rather uncommon format (12000×1080 px)

    I tried removing these emails from the inbox so the first email to process is simple text, and Postie worked OK.

    But with images it’s not event able to process 1 email, and postie times out.

    This setup has been working for several years with the same email format (sent by a remote server for monitoring purposes).

    I guess this has to do with images processing as Postie leaves behind tmppost drafts.

    Postie Log files als oshows much more queries than it used to but I don’t pretend I understand this part.

    Is this fixable on Postie side ?

    Hi,

    A quick followup on this.

    Examining the Media Library, I can see the images are imported correctly, but not attached to a publication.

    There are in fact imported repeatedly, with the same email being processed (which leads to a huge load of orphaned copies of the same images).

    Manually importing one of these images triggers no error so I’m not sure the pixel size is an issue.

    I’ve been logging Postie activity and log files are available if needed.

    Often the reason for this is the number of alternate image sizes that need to be generated so worth checking to see how many you are.
