    Hi,

When my client uses Postie with the following settings:
    Sockets
    IMAP-SSL
    Port 993
    imap.gmail.com

    Ignore Email Date: No
    Use Postie Time Correction: No

Check for mail every: every 5 minutes
Max number of emails to process: 1

    Delete email after posting: Yes

A single email is causing many, many duplicates of the post to publish at once.

When I tested this from my email, this didn’t happen. When I manually “Process Email,” another rogue duplicate may come through once or twice, and then I can manually process and no more duplicates show up after I’ve deleted them all.

    What could be causing this?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I would need you to install the Support AddOn and keep it running until the problem is encountered. Then send the logs to [email protected] and I can take a look.

Note the support addon will turn itself off after the configured number of captures so you may need to restart it from time to time.

For others looking at this thread.

I believe I resolved it by changing the settings in the email account to: Enable POP and When messages are accessed with POP delete Gmail’s copy.

What solved it for me was to change the “Check for mail every” value from every 1 min to every 5 minutes. I found that I was sending emails with large attachments that weren’t getting processed within 1 min so the email wasn’t deleted yet and the Postie process ran again and again, bogging down my hosting server and creating multiple posts.
