I have read the open post concerning posting as visitor only and the issue with facebook updating. Hopefully this is my issue also.

I have posted several tests and can not seem them as admin or a nonfriend on this page
    https://www.facebook.com/essextreestumpgrinding

As admin I must go to the page and then click posts to find them as visitor posts.

Here is the link to a test post.

in the activity logs I can see a post I manually added and two test posts.

I did delete the first app and start over, just in case I did something wrong.
I also deleted the facebook account in the plugin and started over.

  • I’m having the same issue. I assume something has changed with Facebook’s API, but I would love to know how to fix, or if a fix is planned for this issue.

    Here’s a test post I submitted: https://www.facebook.com/1838359766176072/posts/1912821578729890

    From this website: https://kitchensandhome.com/

Everything worked perfectly until the last day or 2.

You are having the same issue as this thread: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/forced-to-post-as-visitor/

Your posts are posted as visitor and go to the community section of the page.

Thank you, I had read that thread.

yes it seems that is the issue and no it does not seem to be that issue, unless I am setting up wrong.
I have set up twice now.
As far as I can see I am have set the user who authorizes plugin is owner of the Facebook app and is the admin of the page or group at the time of authorization. Still it does not post as the “page name”.
I am logged in as the user of the facebook account when I do all this.

To further complicate the issue. The plugin is not automatically posting.
    Queried, yes. Posting no.

The above log is continued from the first log further above.

Only the posts I manually post are reaching facebook.

Limit autoposting speed – Recommended for busy sites with a lot of new posts.
one post per day is selected.

What to do with the rest of the posts if there are more posts then daily limit?
    Skip/Discard/Don’t Autopost

We have schedule one post a day to be publish.

    Thank you

Do you have WP Cron setup correctly?
    https://www.nextscripts.com/tutorials/wp-cron-scheduling-tasks-in-wordpress/

Please go to the Log/History page and check only “All Cron Events” checkbox.

You should see ONLY crons executed from WGET or Mozilla every one or two minutes. If you see nothing at all, calls from “WordPress/4.x.x” or calls made at irregular time intervals, your cron is not set correctly.

    (@aehageman)

For some reason wp-cron was disabled. (new hosting company we are trying out.)
Now we are back to waiting on facebook to update or you to finish your API..

    thank you for the help.

Will be watching for facebook update.
